Built by a recruiter who lives in
LinkedIn Recruiter every day
Sorcify is not a side project dreamed up by people who have never run a search. It was built from scratch by a working VC recruiter to solve the exact problems that slow real sourcing down.
The story
I am the Head of Talent at Icon Ventures, where I run the entire talent program across our portfolio. That means I spend my days deep inside LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing for founders who need to hire fast and cannot afford to get it wrong.
Over the last few years I kept hitting the same walls. Writing Boolean strings that actually surfaced the right people took forever. Scoring candidate after candidate against a job was slow and inconsistent. Drafting outreach that did not sound like a template ate up the day. Building interview questions and scoring transcripts was a whole separate chore.
So I started building the tool I wished existed, one feature at a time, tested against real searches for real companies. That tool became Sorcify. My team and I use it daily, and it has quietly become the thing we reach for on every new role.
Where Sorcify shines
Sorcify is tuned for the pace and complexity of venture-backed hiring. It performs especially well for startups in:
- Deep tech and hard engineering roles where signal is buried in the details.
- Cybersecurity, where niche skills and certifications matter.
- Healthcare SaaS, where domain plus technical fit is rare.
- Database and data engineering companies hunting for specialized talent.
If all you have is a job description, that is enough to start. Sorcify turns it into searches, scores, outreach, and interview material in seconds.
How my team actually uses it
We paste a new job in the morning and Sorcify builds the search strategy before the first coffee is done. As we browse candidates, it scores each one in real time and drafts a personalized opener we can send right away. When a role has both a senior and a junior opening, we scan one candidate against several jobs at once instead of switching back and forth. By interview time, our questions and scoring rubric are already written, and we score transcripts in a clean, shareable format the hiring team can trust.
It is not magic and it is not meant to replace a recruiter's judgment. It removes the busywork so we can spend our time where it counts: talking to great people.
Why it stays private
Because I use this on live searches every day, privacy was never optional. Your job descriptions, candidate evaluations, and transcripts stay in your browser. Nothing sensitive lives on our servers. You can run it free out of the box or connect your own OpenAI key for more control.
